Group K: Visual Poems. New Orleans, Louisiana. See 5120 (Mary Lemann: First exposure: same address, second exposure: Lake at City Park). Double Exposure. As a child, I was fascinated by the old legend of Undine, the lovely water nymph who finally fled the mortal world. This picture evokes the ancient legend, but the truly marvelous thing about it is how the luminance of the girl's eyes fixes the attention, and becomes more magical still than the magical water lights.
